Fishing Update: 7-15-2010

The So. Holston River
The River is at it's best this summer with an unbelieveable Sulphur hatch. Low water Wade trips as well, will let you cast to feeding fish. The afternoon high water hatch has to be seen to believe it. Fishing is good on early AM. terresterials, make sure you fish near the shore line.

Watauga River

The Watauga has been good from top to bottom. Pick your favorite method and take off. Dries,nymphs, and streamers, are all good. Beetles line the banks and fish love them. If you have never fished a black ant now would be a good time along with a sulphur to help spot the ant.

Caney Fork

As of now, the Caney is fishing great from the Dam to Betty's Island. If you have never floated th river, now would be the time with the generation schedule they now have. Don't miss out on this opportunity.

Small Streams

We have had much needed showers the last few days to help our small streams. I have good reportson our local streams with a wide varity of flies being fished.
