It
has been too long too. wait for an update but fishing is good on
both of upper East Tennessee's tailwaters. The South Holston has
been running during the week days and the Watauga has a start time
around 1 pm for white water rafting.
The
So. Holston starts early am with small blue wings with light green
bodies, size 20 to 24. Small black caddis can be found around the
shore lines. On sunny days beetles can be good. We have a really
good sulphur hatch during high water.
The
Watauga is low and clear fishing is good and small nymph and midges
work well. Shad are coming up from the lake and large rainbows have
been taken on streamers, beetles, crane flies, and sulphurs are
all good.
Small
streams have been good and as long as we have rain, should stay
good.
If
you want to fish at Big Cedar Creek in Virginia, book before the
end of May.
Good
fishing,
Mike
